EduSTA: Academy for Sustainable Future Educators
Programme: ERASMUS+ Teacher Academies
Project period: 2022–2025
Coordinator: Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland
Partners:

  • Hanzehogeschool Groningen, Netherlands
  • Institute of Education and Communication CZU Prague, Czech Republic
  • University of Girona, Spain
  • University of Gothenburg, Sweden

The project EduSTA focuses on re- and upskilling VET teachers. It builds a community of an “Academy of Educators for Sustainable Future”. Close cooperation with training schools actively engage in-service teachers. A diverse palette of educational concepts on teachers’ sustainability competences and open digital badge-driven pathways will support the European dimension and facilitate recognition of prior learning as micro-credentials.

The project consortium is going to implement these activities and outputs:

  • Comparative research - mapping the contextual possibilities and restrictions for transformative learning on sustainability,
  • Design of competence-based learning modules and their implementation into the partners’ curriculum,
  • Establishing open digital badge-driven pathways on teachers’ sustainability competences and badge applications open for all teachers in Europe.
