Job fair is conceived as a one-day workshop designed both for future graduates and current students in IEC study programmes on ‘Guidance in vocational education’, ‘Pedagogy for teachers of vocational subjects’ and ‘Pedagogy for teachers of practical training’. Consulting firms and non-profit institutions have an opportunity to present offers of their trainee programmes, half-time jobs and full-time employment, and also the possibility of internship, practical training or assistance in writing a bachelor's thesis.
The main objective of the fair is to provide both IEC students and graduates with sufficient information to enable them to orientate on the labour market, and search for future jobs. Alternatively to enable personal contact between students and companies/organizations for the purpose of mediation work, internship, practical training or assistance in Bachelor's theses.
IEC students acquire during their study at CZU expert knowledge and competences in pedagogy, psychology, educational process management, and career guidance. They find employment in the field of human resource development, such as educational activities manager, human resources officer, training coordinator in educational and non-profit institutions, counsellor and method specialist in vocational education, officer at an Education Office or the Labour Office, or as teaching assistant.
The exhibitors take the opportunity to share valuable practical experience with students, and possibly find new talented workmates. They can present at exhibition stand within IEC premises in Prague-Malá Chuchle, and use the opportunity for 15 minute individual presentations of the company in the lecture hall. The workshop is open also for students from other CZU Faculties. During the fair a brochure with presentation of all exhibitors is distributed to all CZU students.
It is believed that the Job fair will be helpful not only for IEC students and graduates, but also for their possible employers.
