The aim of the 600-hour long course is to expand foreign students' Czech language skills at level B1 according to the European Reference Framework for Languages and preparation in the field of the basics of professional terminology needed for studying bachelor's or master's programmes at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. During the preparation (4 hours from Monday to Friday), students learn the Czech language for communication in everyday life. Thee lessons also include the terminology needed for the subjects that comprise the entrance exams at the CZU faculties (mathematics, biology) . The course operates in cooperation with Study in Prague organizations.
Intensive course for students from Vietnam
The IEC operates the Centre for Further Education of International Students. The main activity of this centre is an intensive course of Czech language for Vietnamese students. The main aim of the course is develop the language knowledge of Czech for foreigners, and language study in terms of the specialised terminology necessary for study in the Bachelor programmes at the CZU Prague. The specific parts of the study are lessons focused on introducing vocational subjects such as animal husbandry, plant production, engineering, economics and environmental studies.
The students are interested mainly in subsequent studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences and Faculty of Environmental Sciences.
The courses are completed with a written and oral final examination, on the basis of which students receive certificates on successful completion of the course.
