The Institute of Education and Counselling CZU Prague offers preparatory courses designed for foreign applicants to study, which support their successful integration into the academic environment and the development of language and professional skills necessary for study.
The courses focus primarily on language training in Czech or English. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills and acquiring the professional terminology necessary for bachelor's, master's, or doctoral studies.
The Institute of Education and Counselling has been the guarantor of preparatory courses since 2010. A significant advantage of the program is the possibility to start lessons at language centres in the students' home countries, for example at the Joint Education Centre in Hanoi or at CzechPoint in Tashkent (in cooperation with the StartStudy agency).
The course includes:
- 600 hours of an intensive Czech language instruction,
- instruction in the specialized terminology needed for entrance exams,
- specialized modules focused on mathematics, biology, and economics,
- development of writing, listening, and communication skills,
- preparation for the final exam,
- an integration program including an introduction to university faculties and professional and cultural excursions.
