The recently prepared professionally oriented degree programme taught in English will build on the successful and well-established Czech programme, which is one of the unique study opportunities of its kind in the Czech Republic. The aim is to make the programme accessible to a wider range of international applicants, strengthen the international dimension and multiculturality of education at the Institute of Education and Counselling, and contribute to the development of career guidance in an international context.
“This is the first time in the history of the Institute that we have begun preparing a degree programme to be taught in English. Developing an English-language version of the Career Guidance, Counselling and Education programme is a logical step for us, responding to the growing interest in career guidance in all the world. We believe that the programme will attract talented students from abroad while also enriching our current students with new perspectives and experiences,” said Prof. Petr Valášek, Director of the Institute of Education and Counselling.
The programme will focus on current topics in career development, educational guidance, and support for professional pathways in different cultural and social contexts. Teaching will draw on international trends and combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
The IVP is thus further strengthening its position in the field of education and training of career guidance professionals while continuing to develop international cooperation, which is one of the key pillars of its strategic direction.
