Support for the Training of Teachers in Vocational Education at the CZU in Prague

Programme: OP JAK

Project period: 2024–2027

Coordinator: Institute of Education and Counselling

Through several key activities aimed at improving the quality of teaching and training of future teachers, the project reflects the current needs of vocational education, strengthens the international dimension of teaching, and introduces specific measures to improve the training of future teachers.

Key Activity 3 involves the creation of two innovative courses aimed at strengthening the professional competences of accompanying teachers at secondary vocational schools and apprenticeship schools.

Key Activity 4 will develop the competences and knowledge of students of the programme Pedagogy for Teachers of Practical Training through short-term internships at secondary vocational schools in France, the Netherlands, Austria, and Slovakia. Students will have the opportunity to observe vocational subjects and practical training.

The aim of Key Activity 6 is to create a network of cooperating (so-called training) secondary vocational schools and apprenticeship schools, where continuous supervised teaching practice for future teachers will take place, thereby establishing and deepening cooperation between the university institute (i.e., the Institute of Education and Counselling) and these schools in the context of the professional training of future teachers.
