Over the past three years, the Institute of Education and Counselling successfully coordinated an Erasmus+ KA171 project aimed at enhancing the professional competences of university staff and students in the Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova. Through a series of teaching exchanges, workshops, and short-term Ph.D. student mobilities, over 20 mobile academic staff and Ph.D. students participated in international education and research activities. Topics such as collaborative teaching and learning, innovative ICT applications in teaching, and quality assurance in higher education were shared across institutions.
The cooperation led to mutual benefits for all involved – students experienced foreign-led lectures, teachers enriched their pedagogical practices, and institutional partnerships were deepened. Among the highlights were seminars at Czech and Kyrgyz universities, the introduction of collaborative teaching methods, and upcoming summer school planning. The outcomes show how international mobility fosters innovation, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding in modern higher education.
