The Institute of Education and Communication applied for the project "Support for the Teacher Training in Vocational Education at the CZU" within Operational Programme Jan Amos Komensky (OP JAK). The project was selected for funding with a subsidy exceeding more than 280 000 EUR. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the competences of assistant (peer) teachers will be strengthened, the IEC students and teachers can develop their intercultural skills through foreign internships. Furthermore, project will enhance the quality of VET education and practice and deepen the already well-established cooperation between institute and secondary vocational schools.
"I am very pleased that we have been successful in our application to OP JAK. It is essential for the institute to be an active participant in a number of projects, including scientific ones. The implementation of this project will enable further improvement of the quality of studies and staff development at the IEC. From my point of view, it is not possible to ensure quality of educational activities without scientific and creative activities, because teachers and students need to be part of the most current challenges and knowledge - including artificial intelligence." adds the IEC director, Prof. Valášek.
