Anna Vozková, Ph.D., joined IEC team in spring semester 2023/2024! She graduated from the Faculty of Education of the Charles University with a degree in Psychology and subsequently a Ph.D. in Educational and School Psychology. The topic of her dissertation was novice teachers and inclusion. She also conducted research on professional sharing of experiences among teachers and burnout syndrome.
In addition to her academic career, she has worked at in various positions, for example as a school psychologist in a primary school, as a trainer of adaptation courses or as a counselling psychologist for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder. Prior to joining the CZU, she worked at the Carolina Centre at Charles University as a coordinator for students with psychological difficulties.
At the same time, she built up the Student Chat Peer Support programme, where learners can anonymously discuss various difficulties with student peer consultant(s).
Together with her colleagues from the Faculty of Education and the 1st Faculty of Medicine, she created the popular weekend Psychological Resilience Courses. She enjoys lecturing seminars focused on soft skills development and mental health support for students, teachers and other staff.
In her psychological practice, she mostly focuses on topics such as time management, procrastination, anxiety and depressive disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, social phobias, social and relational competences, stress management techniques and relaxation. In academia, she is interested in self-efficacy, collegial efficacy, collegial sharing techniques, stress and burnout syndrome, support for teachers, novice teachers, neurodivergence, and more.
In her free time, she enjoys playing sports (especially fitness, cycling, or hiking), painting, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, watching documentaries, doing puzzles, or traveling. You can meet her at the Institute of Education and Counselling in Malá Chuchle, as well as at the Counselling Centre for Students with Special Needs on the Suchdol campus.
